ABOUT
James Ransom is an award-winning commercial photographer with over ten years of experience shooting stills and motion for brands spanning the food, product, and interiors industries. A long-time contributor to Food52, he has been central in developing the look and feel of their visual identity and has photographed countless recipes, cookbooks, and advertising content for the company's editorial and e-commerce channels.
James is a "glass-half-full" kind of guy and a believer in hard work and determination. He keeps his cool under pressure and is a delight to work with. His unique way of seeing and using color is the common thread that weaves through his food, still life, and interiors photography and ties together his visual style. Ironically, his wardrobe is black.
